The Haunted Hill House was constructed as an A frame residence in 1880 during the Civil War era and served as a temporary hospital until the early 1920s before transitioning into a hub for illicit operations. It’s located on land that has Healing Wells, the Lamar Iron Well and the French Well among others. Kiowa, Waco and other Native American tribes use to roam the mountains behind the house.
Paranormal Investigators have felt headaches and nausea and even spirits following them home. There have been reports of Class “A” EVPs captured during investigations, as well as instances of moving balls attributed to a child spirit. Additionally documented are over 600 scratches and four incidents involving bites. Witnesses have recounted seeing green orbs floating around the premises along with doors slamming shut and objects being thrown. Visitors often develop an intense pull toward the house, describing it as almost addictive. In some instances guests having dreams about the house and feeling a persistent urge to return.
