The 1886 Olde Park Hotel in Ballinger, Texas, began as a two-story house built before 1886. That year, it became the Three Sisters Hotel. It later served as a brothel, boarding house, school, and even a bootlegging site during Prohibition. The Keel family, who purchased it in 1922, gave it the name Olde Park Hotel. Over time, it also functioned as a restaurant, antique store, and meeting space. In 2016, The 1886 Olde Park Hotel was renovated using materials from ghost towns. The hotel’s past is deeply tied to Ballinger’s lawless early days. The 1886 Olde Park Hotel is now an overnight paranormal venue.
The hotel is home to over 2 dozen spirits. Guests report disembodied footsteps, cold spots, and voices. A shadowy cowboy named “Slim” and a large marshal figure are seen. Haunted dolls move on their own. A violent male spirit and playful child ghosts called Benjamin and Dennis, inhabit the building. Paranormal experiences include objects thrown, unexplained smells, and ghostly apparitions. Outlaw spirits like Emmanuel Clements and Jim Miller are also believed to haunt the site.
