Whiskey Pete’s Hotel & Casino, established in 1977, stands as Primm’s oldest large casino. It’s named after Pete McIntyre, a local figure from the 1920s who ran both a service station and a bootlegging operation. Before his death, McIntyre requested to be buried standing up near his service station. Years after his passing, the site turned into Whiskey Pete’s Casino. It now houses the infamous Bonnie and Clyde Death Car and one of Al Capone’s cars.
While standing by the craps tables, one observer reported a vivid vision of figures in old western attire shifting to modern-day clothing, ending with a man in a western hat who vanished before their eyes. Another incident occurred near Bonnie and Clyde’s car, where the witness felt a blatant push on their shoulder. In room 165 a holiday maker was jolted awake by the sensation of a heavy presence seated on the bed beside them.
