Cheesman Park in Denver is considered a gem in the city’s park and parkway system. It holds historical significance as it was originally the grounds of Denver’s first cemetery, which closed in 1890. Some graves remained untouched, while others were relocated elsewhere on the site. It was converted into a park space later on, bearing the name of Walter S. Cheesman following his family’s generous donation towards constructing its neoclassical pavilion.
At night, children have been seen playing in the park before they mysteriously disappear. A female figure is sometimes seen singing to herself, only to vanish instantly. On nights when the moon is full, the outlines of ancient graves can be seen. Many have reported feeling a strange force that makes them reluctant to get up from the grass. It’s as if an unseen power is holding them back. These strange occurrences have left many wondering about the secrets hidden within the park.
