The High Noon Restaurant and Saloon is one of Albuquerque’s oldest venues. Built between 1750 and 1785, the structure is said to have served as a gambling parlor and brothel.
Investigated on
Constructed in 1897, the Red Onion Saloon emerged amidst the pinnacle of the Klondike Gold Rush. Following this era, the establishment underwent transformations. Notably, it functioned as a dance hall, military accommodation, bakery, laundry facility, assembly space for labor unions, a hub for retailing souvenirs, and a television station. Remarkably, the chambers upstairs were left wholly unaltered, preserved exactly as they were during its infamous tenure as a brothel.
Diamond Lil, an ex-madam, remains reluctant to let go of the past as she continues to closely monitor the Red Onion Saloon and its staff. She specifically chooses to interact with male patrons, who often recount experiencing gentle caresses on their legs and faint murmurs in their ears.
